WOMEN'S GOLF

The 1st medal 1st Wilson Rosebowl was played on Sunday 1 April at the Waimarino Golf Club at

Makaranui. The winner was B. Dempsey with a nett 69. M. Brown recorded a two and the raffle was won by J.H. Donald. Other worthwhile scores on the day were J. O'Neill's 70, H. Woollett 71, G. Fraser 72, J. Turner 72. As a result of her win in the tournament, B. Dempsey's handicap was reduced from 36 to 35 whilst M. Brown 's was also cut back to 26 from 27. The first Toanui Trophy (Match Play) will be played on Wednesday 1 1 April with B. Brown and L. Proude on duty. Sunday 15 April sees B. Anderson on duty at the club.
