Reward reaches $3000

Pledges to enable a reward to be made for information leading to the arrest of the arsonist responsible for a recent house fire in Raetihi have brought the total to "just on $3000" said Mayor Garrick Workman last week. "The pledges are still trickling in but I have approached the local police

to see if they will take over from here . . . it is now really a police matter and they are checking with their superiors. We're grateful for those pledges and it does demonstrate community concern for one of our local residents." Pledges can still be made at the Raetihi's Joint Administration Centre.
