COMMUNITY COLLEGE NEWS
At last month's meeting of the Ohakune Borough Council the mayor, Mr Bill Taylor, who is also the Waimarino's representative on the Wanganui Community College, said that it was not really good enough for the college to send pamphlets about the college up to the Waimarino. "We would rather see the principal, Mr Scott, and other representatives from the Wanganui Community College up here," he said. It was proposed that a meeting would be set up between Community College staff and local people to see what sort of courses are required and can be provided. It is understood that a meeting has now been set up for the beginning of May ... we will be bringing you morjjj details later. wk Mr Michael Warbrick, principal of Ruapehu College said that the college 's careers advisors had recently visited the Wanganui Community College and were very impressed with the total involvement and interest of the staff.
