Racing with BULLY
This week congratulations are due to Sir Castleton and his connections for the wonderful win in the Trotters' Final at Adelaide on Saturday. The fact that he gave the Australian champion Scotch Notch four lengths start into the straight and a beating by three metres speaks volumes for his class. Last year Scotch Notch beat Sir Castleton at Addington but now the score is even. What a great race the pacing final will be too, with Black Irish, Gammalite, Enterprise and Our Mana all in there with a host of supporters each.
Let's wish the latter two all the best for another New Zealand win. Central District horses won four races at Matamata last week and the Matamata Breeders Stakes saw a complete whitewash by horses from this area. Vin D'Amour from Woodville was first followed by Princess Dram from Hawera and another Taranaki horse in Black Eclipse third. From Levin we see that Atrapa has freshened nicely and should carry on with the form he showed a month back, while Silver Samurai and Moments of Glory each
delighted their connections with some good work at the track. Over at Awapuni Bronze Valley and Felido gave promise of early wins while Strategy is impressing track watchers at Opaki. Several Waikato horses working like winners are Waylon Jennings and Jurango while up at Takanini Lord Vegas has a score to settle, being most unlucky last start and Secrecy will win when he next steps out. Remember, Bully tips them first and you will read them in the Bulletin.
