Then across country past Otiranui towards Parapara and Ohorea Station where, after settling the horses and preparing their evening meal, they 'camped' for the night in the shearer's quarters. Next morning the group crossed the Paraparas (SH4) and headed west. After having luneh beside the
Mangaeturoa Stream the eight horses crossed the bridge and trekked up the hill to Waipuna Station arriving in the late afternoon. Next day some members of the group took the opportunity, to ride round the farm while others relaxed ... they spent two nights at Waipuna Station^fct The following morning tm^^ group headed home after lunching at Raetihi. The Pony Club wishes to thank property owners for allowing the group to travel through and stay on their properties. They also wish to thank Mrs Tebay for transporting the group's gear to the various camps.
