Trevor Murdoch Henare, 17, forestry labourer of Ohakune admitted to two charges of breaking and entering and one charge of possession of cannabis. For entering Crown Farmers Ltd and the Rendezvous Dairy and for possessing cannabis he was convicted and remanded to 23 February for a probation report and sentence. Bail was set at $500. He was placed on curfew from 9pm to 7am daily until he appeared for sentence. ★ ★ ★ Darrell Shane McLeod, 20, workman of Karioi pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while disqualified. He was convicted and remanded to 23 February for a probation report and sentence. ★ ★ ★ Brian Michael Ludeman, 32, gardenhand of Ohakune appeared for sentence on a charge of driving while disqualified and to plead guilty to another charge of driving while disqualified. He was convicted and remanded to 22 March for
an alcohol assessment report and was required to sign a prohibition order. ★ ★ ★ Ivor Phillip Hogan, 24, signal maintainer of Ohakune pleaded guilty to a charge of interfering with a motorcar and a charge of breaking and entering. He was fined $250 and disqualified from driving for 12 months on the first charge. On the second charge he was fined $200. ★ ★ ★ Phillip Hornley Ellery, 23, loader driver of Ohakune was fined $50 for driving while disqualified. On a charge of driving at a speed which might have been dangerous he was fined $225 and disqualified for nine months. ★ ★ ★ Peter Arthur Phillips, 20, forestry labourer of Raetihi pleaded guilty to two charges of supplying cannabis and one charge of possession for the purpose of supply. He was convicted and jailed for four months youth imprisonment on each charge followed by 12 months probation. ★ ★ ★ Sonny Pikari, 20, unemployed of Ohakune appeared for sentence on a charge of breaking and entering Ohakune Primary School. He also pleaded guilty to a charge of receiving goods stolen from Cedar Service Station. He was convicted and placed on probation for 12 months and must pay $255 compensation. He must live and work where directed. ★ ★ ★ Robert Daniel Pickery, 17, unemployed of Ohakune appeared for sentence on a charge of breaking and entering Ohakune Primary School to which he had earlier pleaded guilty. He was placed on
probation for 12 months and ordered to pay $255 in compensation. ★ ★ ★ John Joseph Henare, 31, workman of Raetihi pleaded guilty to a charge of driving with a blood alcohol level of 1 50: 1 00. He was convicted and fined $200 with fees of $65 and disqualified for 1 2 months. On a charge of careless driving he was convicted and the same penalties were imposed. ★ ★ ★ Julie Huriana Rangiihu, 21, unemployed of Wanganui pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis. She was fined $125. ★ ★ ★ Graham David Pearce, 24, self-employed contractor of Wanganui pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis. It was his third offence. He was fined the maximum of $500. ★ ★ ★ Turei Norman Koroua, 24, chef of Ohakune pleaded guilty to a charge of assault. He was fined $350 half of which is to be paid to the complainant. ★ ★ ★ John Richard William Alfred Teatua Wereta, 20, unemployed of Waiouru was appearing for sentencee after pleading guilty at Taihape earlier in the week to charges of breaking and entering and theft. He was placed on probation for 12 months and ordered to pay $749 compensation. ★ ★ ★ Mathew Alan Lacy, 20, shearer of Raetihi pleaded guilty to a charge of careless driving in Raetihi during which he damaged a sign and shop wall. He was fined $120 and disqualified for 30 days. ★ ★ ★ Maurice Pulman, 22, workman of Raetihi pleaded guilty to
a charge of careless driving in Raetihi. He was fined $75 on the careless driving charge and fined $50 for not having a licence. \ ★ ★ ★ \ Elizabeth Richards, 17, unemployed gardener of Raetihi was appearing for sentence on a conviction of allowing a hut at the forestry camp in Ohakune to be used for the commission of a drug offence. She was placed on probation for 12 months and ordered to pay $100 costs. ★ ★ ★ Evelyn Teirana Ameria Heremaia, 17, unemployed waitress of Raetihi pleaded guilty to six cheque offences including forging a cheque, false pretences and intent to defraud. She was convicted and remanded to 23 February fora probation report and sentence. Bail was set at $500.
