Racing with BULLY

Winners are proving pretty elusive again at Trentham, although I have heard of one or two good collects around town. Secured Deposit won the Wellington Cup in fine style, but the two that impressed me most were Isle of Man and the horse that did most of the pace making Suttle Knight. Both of these ran fine races and I am sure they will be worth following when next they step out. All racegoers will, I feel sure, applaud the connections of Secured Deposit for their fine gesture in paying Tony Williams a winning ride fee of something in the vicinity of $5000 even though Tony is lying paralysed in

Middlemore Hospital after that bad race accident at Rotorua. Several smart trials around the country at present are a warning that a number of horses have been freshened up and could be seen as potential winners shortly. These include the following: Two doing everything right at Wanganui are Redrap and Manuscript, while at Stratford, All Sirah, Graphic Dance and Lavonia are impressing track watchers. Awapuni always "has a number of winners from that centre in the late summer and autumn and those in line for early success include D'Arcy and Dancing Rose, while Magnitude is

working in fine style. Over at Feilding, Vera Lyn is back in work and I expect her to show good form at short notice. Watch for early improvement from Volare also. At Hastings a couple of locals that will win a race or two very soon are Tallboy and Beready the latter having just had a spell to freshen up. Up in the Waikato there is quiet confidence in a couple from Te Rapa and they are Silverello and First Sovereign. I would also have a good close look at the Te Awamutu trained Sailorman at his next couple of starts. Remember Bully tips them first and you will read it in the Bulletin.
