LETTER

On behalf of the Ohakune St John Ambulance Brigade and the public of both Ohakune and Raetihi I say thank you to the Ruapehu Jaycees for their most wonderful Christmas present of a new Scoop Stretcher ■tffeilued at over $700. This stretcher was presented to the Ohakune Fire Brigade on Tuesday night 1 0th January where it can be called upon at any time in any kind of emergency. This type of stretcher is used extensively now in all kinds of rescue work, whether it be on the farm in the house, car accident or on the mountain. If you have been watching the news on TV lately you will have seen this type of stretcher in use all over the world. Once again 1 wish to thank the Ruapehu Jaycees for such a wonderful gift to the district and if it is ever needed all you have to do is call the Fire Brigade and a team of trained personnel will be there to'help you. George Murdie Superintendent . St John Ambulance Ohakune
