Brigade equipped to deal with breathing emergencies
Members of the Ohakune Volunteer Fire Brigade are seen practising the use-of their resuscitator under the watchful eye of their chief Max Martin, left and St Johns Ambulance officer George Murdie, seated rear. The portable resuscitator can be used in all cases involving loss of breathing — drowning, electric shock, suffocation, gassing, at accident sites and even some medical conditions such as asthma. This model of resuscitator can supply up to four patients as a time. In an emergency call the telephone exchange operator and ask for the resuscitator.
