Leaving Ohakune Fr Gordon Kerins, after six years as parish priest and Maori Missioner in the Waimarino is going to Whangarei as Maori Missioner. Sister Pauline, after three years in Ohakune is going to Marion House in Wanganui City. She celebrates her GoldenJubileeof Profession in January. Sister de Chantal goes to Taihape. Her own sister will be in the community there with her. Father Callaghan, known to many for some nine years for his interest in the botany of the area, will stay in the Wanganui Home of Compassion where he first went to recuperate after losing a knee-cap after a fall. He was 80 in October. Well-wishers are invited to visit him in Wanganui. Coming to Ohakune Fr Neal Wilson who was here during 8 1 / 82 returns as parish priest. Sister Carmel Brady will make up a community of three at the Convent. ^Jhe new presbytery is |^wt to be built behind the ^urch and the old one to be converted into a parish hall and centre. The Raetihi gala last month raised $4000 towards it.
