New Chemist for Waiouru

After 15 years Waiouru Pharmacy has a new owner. On I October, previous owner Alan Walters moved out and the business was taken over by Mary Newson. (no relation to D'Arcy Newson, the Chemist at Raetihi). Married, with one child, a boy. Nathan aged 2, Mary Newson and her husband Ron had owned and operated a 7 day dairy in Upper Hutt for three years. Previously Mary had worked in an Upper Hutt pharmacy and is a fully qualified chemist. Having been in Waiouru for six weeks, the Newson's are really enjoying it. "The people are much more open and friendly" said Mary Newson. Husband Ron stays at home to look after young Nathan — an experience they are both enjoying
