A former Postmaster of Ohakune died suddenly as his home in Christchurch last Sunday night. He was Mr Noel Williams, 49, who came to Ohakune from Takaka in 1972 and stayed until 1976. From Ohakune he went to Waimate before transferring to Te Puke, then Dunedin and finally to Christchurch as Postmaster, a position he held until his untimely death. He leaves a wife, Joy, and three teenage children — two sons, Graham and Neal and a daughter Anne.
