RUAPEHU TOASTMISTRESSES
Ruapehu Toastmistresses recently held an impromptu speech contest evening during which each contestant had to speak for between 5 and 7 minutes. They were given a choice between two topics and then had two minutes to prepare notes before handing them in and delivering their speeches. The contestants were Naomi Condon, Margaret . Cornwall, Fay Eves, Margaret Horne, Keitha Journeaux, Gretchen and Valma Littlewood. Fellow toastmistress Judy Doyle judged the contest and commented and advised on individual performances. Keitha Journeaux was - judged best speaker with Margaret Horne runner up.
