OHAKUNE
About 30 children from Ohakune Frimary School's Forms 1 and 2 will be travelling to Rotorua on an educational visit next month. The children will be accompanied by two teachers — M rs Moreen Hancock and Mrs Ann Vincent — and five parents. During their visit, from 14-17 November, the group will bre staying on a marae and will be transported around various sites by the chartered bus which will take them to and from Rotorua. Flaces to be visited include the Whakarewarewa Thermal area, the Maori Arts and Crafts centre, the Museum, the Buried Village, Rainbow Springs and the Forestry Research Centre. The cost to each pupil is $50 and they have been working to save this amount since March when the trip was fir.st planned. However some pupils are still short of funds and would appreciate hearing from anyone who might have odd jobs - car and window cleaning, gardening etc : — for them to do. People who want odd jobs done are asked to contact the Ohakune Frimary School. Other educational visits are also planned this term. One group is going to Auckland and two others will be spending 4 days at Moyle Lodge at different times.
