Family tragedy prompts sale of business

Roy Turner's ski and sports business in National Park is up for sale. Since Roy and his wife Anne, together with their children Kim and Guy, went missing in the Southern Alps on Saturday 30 July while flying from Tekapo to Fox Glacier, the business has been run by Barbara Morris who was managing the shop at the time of the tragedy. It was decided to keep the business running until the end of the present ski season to maintain the goodwill which had been built up over many years between Roy Turner . and the skiing

fraternity. Now that the 1983 ski season is closed tenders have been called for the following: • The Ski and Sports shop together with land, plant, equipment, stock, goodwill and import licences. • Dwellinghouse and a separate section. • Farm and airstrip comprising 61 hectares of Crown lease land. Particulars of tender may be obtained from; Horsley, Brown & Co, Wanganui or Martin and Morris of both Taupo and Auckland. Tenders close on Friday 1 1 November.
