Scoop Stretcher

To the people of the Waimarino. We wish to thank you for your donations towards the Scoop Stretchers that we, the Fire Brigade and Ohakune Railway St. John Ambulance Brigade, hope to be able topurchase. The donations that you give will be spent in this district for the benefit of you people. Once again a Scoop Stretcher would have been very handy at the accident on the Mangarewa Road a fortnight ago.

All of the Ambulance and Fire Brigade personnel and any one that is interested will be taught the use of this type of stretcher and the benefits to the patient. Maybe you didn't know that the St. John Ambulance Division started in Ohakune in 1937 under Doctor Jordan and it has been active ever since. It was named the Ohakune Railway Ambulance and has never changed its name. Although small in number, if there are any sports meetings that you wish them to attend, you have only to drop a line to the Secretary, St. John Ambulance, Ohakune and some members will be there. Your donations may still be left at Newson's Fharmacy in Raetihi or at the Wanganui Savings Bank, Ohakune. Once again we thank you for your help.

George

' Murdie

Divisional Superintendent St John Ambulance, Ohakune.
