Rotary to stage Country Fair

The annual Rotary Country Fair will be held on Saturday 26 November at Frasers Airstrip, Rangataua. The event is to provide fun and entertainment for the people of the Waimarino and anybody else who wishes to come along. The programme includes six or seven horse races for sponsored trophies. An equalisator service is provided for these events. Novelty personal participation events for children of all ages, as well as stalls, games and displays are also planned. The Raetihi/ Ohakune Rotary propose to hold chainsaw contests this year and are investigating the various forms these may take. Entries are invited as

soon as possible and when interest has been assessed, an announcement will be made. This fair and the races have been well supported and sponsored in the past. The Rotary Club has been very grateful for this help and look forward to continued support and sponsorship this year. Funds generated from this annual fair have always been used for Rotary projects in the Waimarino area and will again be used for similar projects this year. Feople interested in entering horses and riding in the races please contact Mr Gavin Jones at Ohutu Grazing or Rotary Club secretary, Mr Arthur Berridge in Raetihi.
