Get out those scrapbooks

Just a reminder — under the above title \ve published a story in a rivent edition about the forthcoming visit of a team of journalism students from the Wellington Folytechnic and asked you, the readers, to let us know if you can suggest any interesting news stories these young journalists can follow up. We have received a few leads but we would still like to hear from you if you know of anyone in the Waimarino area who can give us some first-hand accounts about such things as timber milling, the early days of market gardening and the Main Trunk Line, the time when the King Country was 'dry\ the great fire of Raetihi, etc. There must be many people who can still recall stories and anecdotes of those by-gone days. ^^The 1 2 journalist students ''^P-ive on the 10th of October so we nnust have vour suggestions before then so that their programme can be co-ordinated.
