Service on the Railways

One so often hears negative comments made about N.Z. Railways, that I wish to make public my praise of their staff. Recently I travelled to and from Wellington on the Silver Fern and on both occasions was able to witness the kindness, gentleness and loving care shown to two elderly passengers. One of them became

very ill whilst travelling and the other, who having previously suffered a stroke, had limited movement and required and received considerable attention. This was quite apart from the courtesy and friendliness shown to each passenger and the comfort and warmth of the train.
