OHAKUNE LIBRARY NEWS
Library hours are temporarily extended: 10-12.30 and 1.30-4. 30pm daily (five days a week). A story-reading session for younger children is held daily from 10.30-1 1.30am until Primary Schools reopen. At present the library has the Wanganui Chronicle daily and the New Zealand Herald on Saturday. This is not yet a permanent arrangement but a test of public demand. A very good loan collection on Painters and Painting is in the Library until November, and an exchange of about 300 books will be made when the van calls in three weeks time. New books include:For adults The Little Drummer Girl by John Le Carre; Plumb by Maurice Gee; Tales of the Tikongs by Hauofa Epeli; At Sea on Land by Naomi Jarnes. For juniors Stag by Phillip Holden; Noah's Castle by J.R. Townsend; Dial V.E.T. by Joyce Stranger; The Victors by J. Harris; Dr Who and The Visitation. Six more Asterix books and several Usborne publications on Audio and Radio, Computer Games, Prehistoric Man and Mammals and Action Toys.
