Whanaake Rangataua Karate
Exponents of Whanaake Rangataua Karate, Ohakune, were put through their mid-year grading by instructor Charles Mareikura (4th Dan) on 30 June. Those who were successful were as follows: Brown Belt (lst Kyu): Richard Herewini, Valanique Wilson. Green Belt (3 rd Kyu): Mario Herewini. Orange Belt (4th Kyu): Sandrena Philips. White Belt - 3 red tabs (6th Kyu): Ivan Wiari. White Belt - 1 red tab (8th Kyu): Corban Tumataroa, John Waretini, Josephine Reihana, Frank Taylor (Jnr), Robert Taylor, Lee Akapita. The next grading session is in December.
