Ruapehu College

On Monday July 18th Form 7 students left for a 2-day stay at Massey University. They were ac-. companied by Mrs Buck and are looking at various aspects of campus life and courses available. Chris Mosaed, a Form 6 student of Ruapehu College has been selected in the N.Z. 'B' Ski Team and is presently training in the South Island. Ruapehu College's work day will be held on Wednesday July 27th. Anyone wanting pupils to do paid work could contact the College. Linda Davies of F5 took part in the Jaycee's Speech Competition in Wanganui

and was placed 2nd — well done Linda. 1st place went to a Taranaki speaker and 3rd to a speaker from Marton. Members of the 7th Form geography class took part in a field trip to Wellington during mid-term break. Planting will continue on the College forestry blOck at Winstone's this week, when groups of 4th form pupils will spend time putting out lines and planting another section of trees. Dr Perera spoke to senior assembly recently on smoking. He was the guest of 5 Hu. He certainly gave smokers some points to think about.
