Turoa Skifields used an artificial slope at their various Snow Shows leading up to the current ski season. The plastic slope, known as a Port-a-Slope, proved very popular with novice and would-be skiers at these exhibitions. Here a member of the Turoa Skifield staff Wendy Sutton, introduces a new skier (perhaps a future champion!) to the sport. Turoa Skifields will complete this year 's programme of snow shows after visiting Wanganui, Taumarunui, Palmerston North, Hawkes Bay and Gisborne.
