Pig Hunt
The highly successful Anzac weekend shoot organised by the Waimarino Pig Hunting Club is to be repeated over Qu^ens Birthday weekend for the 100 or so eompetitors who are now elub members. The Queens Birthday competition will be run along the same lines as the last one except that all the products resulting from the shoot will be donated to senior citizens. in the Waimarino. The weigh-in will be held at the Raetihi Hotel on Monday 6 June from II. 00am to 2.00pm on the front lawn of the hotel in Seddon Street. Prizes of $100 will be awarded for the biggest deer and the biggest pig with second and third prices of $50 and $30. There will also be prizes in the junior division for the biggest possum, rabbit and hare.
