The condition of much of the wool was heavy, being damp and more eutted than usual. The sale of Messrs Hunter and Nolan was the next in order. There was a large attendance and prices ran much the same as above. The competition was keen, and with the exception of one lot everything was sold. Some 900 bales of wool ©f all grades were offered. Foreign buyers mustered in force. The prices ranged from'Jd to Id per lb higher than last season’s, for coarse descriptions of wool. Fine wool fetched no higher. The prices obtained ranged as follows :—Longwool, 6d to 7d; crossbreds, 7d to 7£d; merino, 6d to B]d. The most noticeable rise was in crossbred wools.
