I notice in the ‘ Weekly News’ that Mr 2\ Slater moved a vote of thanks and confidence iu Mr Houston, as member for the Bay, Is this gentleman a distant relation of Mr Slater who, when Hr Houston ad dressed the electors at Aratapu in Maylast “ had a feeling of disappointment in the member which he could not express.”
