NORTHERN WAIROA RIFLE CLUB.

A prize firing match will take place on the Kopuru-Aratapu range on Prince ef Wales Birthday, Thursday Nov. 9th, 1893 ; firing to commence at 11 a.m., telegraph time. All members are kindly requested to attend and compete for the prizes so kindly subscribed to the Club by the following gentlemen—Messrs M. O’Connor, F. L Lindley, Geo. Meredith, S. Webb, C. Me Gregor, B. Barker, and. H. Searle. The match, will be a handicap one but instead of points being awarded to each member he will receive cartridges to be fired at the different ranges the handicapper allots. No member can win more than two range prizes or one range and one aggregate prize. The ranges fired at will be 200 yds. 300 yds 400 yds and 500 yds. 5 shots at each range and Handicap shots allowed to each member. The following are the prizes for each range : Ist Aggregate prize, Mr Lindley’s Painting, 2nd aggregate prize, Mr C. McGregor’s Sculls, 3rd aggregace prize, Mr R. Barker’s Picture Frame ; 200yds range prize, Mr Meredith’s Pipe ; 300yds range prize. Mr Searle’s Pair Boots; 400yds range prize, Mr Webb’s trophy ; 500yds prize, Mr O’Connor’s Clock. Any member no)t mentioned in this Handicap will be handicapped on range by the secretary", Mr W. J. Bassett.
