NORTHERN WAIROA WESLEYAN CIRCUIT.

The ' Quarterly meeting of the above Circuit was Mid at Aratapu on Wednesday evening. Bev. Joseph Blight presided, There were fourteen brethren present; Flaxinill, Dargaville, Mangawhare, Arapohue, Redhill, Kopuru and A ratapu all being well represented The roll of Church membership showed an increase of five, and three names were added to the plan. The financial position of the Circuit was found to be unsatisfactory, for although the income of thejyear just closed was almost equal to the expenditure yet the Parsonage TrustAccount showed a debt of £69 and the ordinary Circuit deficit mostly from previous- year amounted to £4B. it was, however, considered that the Circuit should be self-supporting and it was decided not to apply for a grant in. aid from the Home Mission Fund, One of the brethren kindly offered to advance a sufficient sum to tide over present difficulties, and it was decided to hold a Grift Auction in March next to wipe off all liabilities. The Parsonage cost a good deal mere than was • originally intended and although'the Trustees have each made liberal donations, amounting to something like £ls each there still remains a der-t of £69, which it is hoped the March fete will liquidate. The Tatarariki people having expressed a desire for services in the new school house an effort will be made to supply the want. Mr Joseph Sheffield stated his intention of opening a morning Sunday School at Tatarariki. Several other matters came before the meeting and received due attention. Rev.
