Our footballers are becoming famous ; they beat Port Albert by 5 to nil on August 26, and on the following Saturday defeated Matakohe by 0 points to nil. The latter before the match were very confident ot winning but it did not come off and perhaps they do not now consider themselves c good enough for any country team in New Aoalcnd.’ Our boys have yet to play Batley and a return match with Matakohe. Mrs R. Johnston died at Pahi on Saturday 26th August. She took a fit of apoplexy on Friday night, and died the following night at nine o’clock. She leaves four small boys in this world The funeral took place on Monday.
