DARGVAILLE NOTES.

Anglican Church.—The Vestry have had a lamp placed at the entrance door of the Church which will be a great boon to churchgoers in dark nights. It was lighted last Sunday for the first time. The new organ (costing forty-five pounds) has arrived aad is said he a very fine instrument ; it was purchased from Messrs Hoffman of Auckland. Much sympathy throughout the township was expressed for Mr F. W. Matthews whe-a the news was received of the fire at his Tu,tarariki Mill; several here saw the reflection of a large fire taking place down river, and fears were entertained that it was one of the Mills, which unfortunately has turned out to be ton true. The reflection from the burning mill quite lit up the township for a time about 11.10 p.m.
