Enrol your names at once is the wisest plan. One of the most interesting and probably one of the finest football matches of the season ; s to be played in Webb’s paddock tomorrow afternoon, — Aratapu II v. Kopuru 11. The time of the general election is drawing very nigh and it will be well for those who vane their electoral privileges to make sure of their names being on the roll. Several persons are actively at work in view of the approaching contest and it will be necessary for every elector to keep wide awake. The Salvation Army appears to have obtained a fiim footing in Whangarei. Captain Renshaw, in the ‘ War Cry ’, re—poits some lively soul stirring meetings recently held there, and says twelve months ago there were only two Salvationists in the town, whereas there are now seventy fighting soldiers.
