WRECK OF THE ANNIE WILSON.
The schooner Annie Wilson, a wooden Vessel of 150 tons register, built at Aratapu by Mr James Barbour in 1879, ran ashore on the south side of the Oeo River, about two o'clock on Saturday morning. She was on with produ.c ■rd u-. al cargo. The place where sue ... ■; .j.k;, >im.l there is no hope of saving the vessel. The captain states that, through being becalmed during thick weather, he had lost his bearings, and thought he had rounded Cape Egmont. The Annie Wilson is owned by Messrs Mitchelson Bros., of Auckland, and is registered in the name of Mr Jno. Dennin, a partner in the firm. The vessel was a very smart and a well kept one ; a credit t® her captain, her owners, and her builder. She was a regular trader here and will be very much missed by many ; her career up to the time of her wreck was a most prosperous one.
