We intended to have had a word to say in opposition to the placing of an import duty on Island fruit as asked for by Mr R. Thompson in the House, also the giving of a bonus for dried fruit for exportation as asked for by Mr Jackson Palmer M.H R., but we leave the matter for the present to the members of the Aratapu Mutual Improvement Class who discuss these subjects at their next meeting.
