of Two Shillings and Sixpence. 11. The sums payable to the County fund for licenses granted under this By-law shall be as follows : Eor every Hawker’s License for which application shall be made before the Thirtieth day of June in any year, Two Pounds. For every Hawker’s License for which application shall be made after the Thirtieth day of June in any year, One Pound. For every Pedlar’s License for which application shall be made before the Thirtieth day of June in any year, One Pound. For every Pedlar’s License for which application shall be made after the Thirtieth day of June in any year, Ten Shillings. 12. No licensed person shall lend, let out, hire or give his license to any person for the purpose of enabling such person to trade or act as a licensed Pedlar or Hawker. 13. Any licensed person shall at all times on demand produce and show his license to and allow the same to be read or a copy thereof to be taken by any of the following persons ; (1) Any Justice of the Peace. (2) Any Constable or Peace Officer. (3) Any Councillor of the County or Officer of the Council. (4) Any person to whom such licensed person sells or offers for sale any goods wares or merchandize. 14. It shall bo lawful for any Constable or Peace Officer at any time to inspect the goods wares or merchandize of any licensed person and for that purpose to open any pack, box, trunk, case, bag or thing in which such goods wares or merchandize or any part thereof are Carrie i or kept. 15. Any licensed person who shall (1) Fail or refuse to produce and show his license on demand to or to allow the same to be read and a copy thereof to be taken by any person authorised under the previsions of this By-law (2) Land, let out, hire, or give his license to any person for the purpose of enabling such person to trade or act as a Licensed Pedlar or Hawker (3) Fail or refuse to deliver up his license to the Clerk when duly required so to do (4) Refuse to permit any Constable or Peace Officer to inspect his goods wares and merchandize, or to open any pack, box, trunk, case, bag, or thing, wherein the same shall be carried or kept shall be guilty of a breach of this By-law and shall for every such breach forfeit and pay such penalty not exceeding Five Pounds as the convicting Justices shall think fit. 16. The Justices before whom any licensed person shall be convicted of any breach of this By-law may if they think fit cause a record of such conviction to he indorsed on the license of such person and for that purpose may require such person to produce and deliver his license. Any person failing or refusing to produce and deliver his license when so required shall be liable to such penalty not exceeding Five Pounds as to such Justices shall seem meet.

N.B. This License can be used only by the above named Licensee and may at any time be cancelled by the Council for sufficient cause. FOURTH SCHEDULE. HOBSON COUNTY HAWKER’S LICENSE IS9 Whereas the application of of for a Hawker’s License has been duly granted. And whereas the said has paid me the sum of as the fee for the same, Now he the said is hereby licensed to trade and act as and to carry on the business of a Hawker or Pedlar within Hobson County until the Thirty-first day of Decembernext. The Common Seal of the Body Corporate called “ The Chairman Councillors and Inhabitants of Hobson County ” was hereunto affixed by direction of the Council of Hobson County this Sixteenth day „ of March 1592 by Alfred E.
