There was a good attendance and. buyers were operating from the Pahiatua and Marawatu districts. In sympathy with recent sales held in the district, it was anticipated that all lines would meet with a poor demand, but contrary to expectations, there was a very keen enquiry, and prices showed an advance of 2s to 3s as compared with late sales. Ewes in particular, sold very well, and it seemed that buyers were deterrtiined to fill their requirements, with the result that the majority sold at prices well above vendors’ expectations.
