JAPANESE EARTHQUAKE.
OFFICIAL ESTIMATE OF DAMAGE. (Received This Day, 1.11 a.m.) TOKIO, March 15. The earthquake damage is officially estimated at ten million yen, which is regarded as surprisingly low. A snowstorm interrupted with communication throughout the country on March 14. Hence the conditions in the devastated area are unknown, but wireless reports state that the relief available is ample. —(A. and N.Z.)
