CHARGES AT METHODIST CONFERENCE.

EVENTS OF TWELVE MONTHS AGO.

AUCKLAND, March 14.

Regarding the charges of ill-treat-ment of an immigrant boy on a New Zealand farm made by the Rev. L. R. Dalby at the Methodist Conference, Mr Dalbyftas now written to the Hon. W. Nosworthy, stating that the case he referred to happened twelve months ago. “He has since gone south, and I have no record of his name and present address,” Mr. Dqlby adds. He considers that while the majority of the boys may bo well treated, there are sufficient cases where the accommodation and food are of such a nature as to call for investigation.— (F.A.).
