CHAMPION OF CHAMPION PAIRS. FIRST THREE ROUNDS. Play in the champion of champion pairs of the Wairarapa Bowling'Centre vas commenced on Saturday on the Featherston green in perfect weather. The visiting players were welcomed by Mr. J. M. G. McKenzie (president of the Wairarapa Centre). The arrangements for morning and afternoon tea were ably carried out by Mesdames McKenzie, Candy, Lawson and Williams. Tho green was in line condition, playing good and fast., Very complimentary remarks were passed by players concerning the caretaker and green management. Following aro the results of tho first three rounds (play will be continued next Saturday):— First round.—Carterton beat Masterton',' 28-13; Greytown beat Park, 24-18; Martinberough beat Featherston, 21-10. Second round.—Carterton beat Mar-26-7; Fea»t hors ton beat Park, 30-17; Greytown boat Masterton, 22-20. Third round. —Carterton beat Featherston, 28-10; Masterton beat Park, 28-21; Greytown beat Martinborough, 22-20. MASTERTON v. FEATHERSTON.
