Y.M.C.A. DIRECTORS.

MONTHLY MEETING YESTERDAY. ROOM IMPROVEMENTS. The monthly meeting of the directors of the Y.M.C.A. was held last evening in the association’s rooms. The directors considered the report of the Special Committee set, up to go into the proposed -appointment of a physical director. It was decided that the National Council should -be asked to secure a young trained man if possible on a part-time basis, at a salary to be fixed according to qualifications. Correspondence was received from the National Secretary in regard te tho proposal to appoint a National Financial Secretary, to assist all the associations in the work of financing. The general principles of the proposal were endorsed by the directors.

The present condition and arrangement of the association’s rooms was

discussed, and it was generally felt that some alteration was essential to secure the best results. A committee was appointed to go into the whole matter and report to a latermeeting. The meeting adjourned until Monday, March 21, when the report of the committee will be received. LADIES ’ AUXILIARY. The Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Y.M.C.A. held its first meeting of the year yesterday, and dealt with items of business preliminary to the usual winter activities.
