Masterton.—Mr. R. Brown reported at 9 a.m. yesterday:—Barograph, 30.06. Shade temperature, maximum 85.6, minimum 56.8; terrestrial, 46.8; bright sunshine, lOhrs 50min. The Dominion Meteorologist (the Lev D. C. Bates) reported at 4 p.m. yesterday:—Present indications are for strong and variable winds with southeasterlies ruling; cold changeable weather and passing showers, particularly in the East Coast districts; barometer rising. Lighting-up time—6.s6 p.m.
