BANDITS WITH MACHINE GUNS. WHISKY PER HOSE. NEW YORK, March 6. Armed with two machine-guns, nine bandits entered Chelius Brothers’ gambling house, the largest in Chic- j ago, swept £6OOO from the roulette | dealers’ banks into bags, and decamp- j ed without firing a shot. The second sensation in Chicago was ! the arrest of four well-dressed men who lived alongside a Government warehouse containing whisky. They rigged up 600 feet of hose and with pressure pumps syphoned thousands of gallons . of liquor from the tanks. The police ’ captured the culprits after a pistol fight.—(Sydney “Sun.”) f
