Slow demand for finest New Zealand and Australian, fair demand for Argentine. Official quotations are:—New Zealand finest salted 162/- to IG6/- and up to 168/-, unsalted 176/- to ISO/-, other qualities, 156/- to 158/-; Australian, unsalted 160/- to 166/-, salted 156/- to 160/-, other qualities 146/- to 154/-; Argentine, unsalted, 152/- to 156/-, other qualities 146/- to 150/-; Danish, 186/-. CHEESE. ' Demand slow for colonial. Official quotations are:—English, finest farmers .116/- to 120/- per cwt; Canadian, finest coloured and white 96/- to 98/-, exceptional 100/-, other qualities 94/- to 95/-; New Zealand coloured and whit? 87/- to 88/-, other qualities 85/- to 86/per cwt. Estimated cheese stocks at London, Liverpool and Bristol n March I:—Canadian and American 57.500 boxes, New Zealand and Australian 124,450 crates, against 67,300 and 68.100 same time last year. WOOL. Bradford market firm tone. Fair demand for most, grades at about last quotations. Oats.—Market quiet, with easier tendency. Large supplyrof Eng lish best seed white selling at 33/- to 35/-, choice feed 28/-. Imported market is not active. Plate afloat sold 20/104. Chilean afloat offered 21/6. Nominal value New Zealand A grade Gartons, March shipments, 29/-. Peas. —Demand is moderate for imported. Maple; Tasmanian afloat sold 95/-, New Zealand February shipments sold 86/- and JuneJuly 75/-. Blues; market fluctuating owing to large arrivals of Japanese, which sold afloat at £2B and MarchApril shipments £29 15/-. Value A grade Tasmanian Mareh-April shipments about £l9. Beans.—Market continues dull. English winter offered,43/to 44/-. Cocksfoot.—Market quiet and prices unchanged. TALLOW. Spot market quiet, with easier tendencies. Present quotations are:—Mutton, fine 38/- per cwt. fair to good 35/6 to 37/-, dark to dull 33/6 to 34/-; beef, sweet and/or mixed 37/- to 40/-. fair to good 34/6 to 36/6, dark to dull, 33/toi 33/6; mixed, fair to good 34/- is 36/6, dark to dull, 32/6 to 33/6; gut, etc., 31/6 to 32/6. HEMP. Manila market easier. J grade Feb-ruary-April shipments sold £42 10/-. Market closed steady. March-May shipments quoted sellers £43. Sisal market weak. Sellers No. 1 February-April shipments and onwards £3B, No. 2 £37. New Zealand market is easier. Highpoints March-May shipments sold £35, fair £34.
