The Masterton Swimming ;ohib held their weekly events last evening before a large attendance of spectators. Following are the results:— Ladies’ 50 Yards Handicap.—Miss R, Hart (12soc) 1; Miss N.. Wallace (scr.) 2; Miss D. Hunt (scr.) 3. Won by two yards. Timo, 55sec. Junior Boys’ 50 Yards Handicap.—G. Orr (3s<'c) ~l; M. Bacon (2sec) 2; P. Brown (7sec) 3. Won by a touch. Timo, 52sec.

Intermediate Boys’ 100 Yards Handrcap.— R.. Devine (4sec) 1; J. Barnes (3 sec) 2. K. McArtney (scr.) 3. Won by a yard. Time, .88 2-ssec. Men’s 50 Yards Handicap.—First heat: J. L. Williams (3sec) and R. I). Horne (scr.) dead heat, 1; S. Dudson (fisec) 3. Time, 32 l-ssee. Second heat: K. 'McArtney (7sec) 1; J. Gardner (Isec) 2, D. Welch (Isoc) 3. Time, 37 3-ssec. Final: J. Gardner 1, R. D. Horne 2. J. L. Williams 3. Won by a touch. Time, 31 3-ssec. The events which were to have been held this evening, have been postponed until Wednesday, March 9, when the following programme will be presented: Ladies’ 50 yards handicap, ladies’ dive, junior boys 25 yards handicap and 50 ytirds handicap, 'hoys’ dive, intermediate'boys’ 75 yards handicap, senior 50 yards and .100 yards handicaps, men’s dive, junior girls’ 25 yards handicap. This will be the concluding swimming event of the' season.
