A VENTURESOME CRUISE.
AUCKLAND TO WELLINGTON. BY MASTERTON-OWNED LAUNCH. Mr. J. Jenkin, garage proprietor, and Mr. H. E. Hargood, of the Cosy Theatre staff, leave this week to join three Wei lingtonians to complete a crew of live who are to bring Mr. C. C. Ross’s motor launch, Rarehutai, from Auckland to Wellington. They expect to leave Auckland <n Monday or Tuesday, and their present intentions are to- spend about six days on the cruise, which is via the East Coast. If tho weather is favourable, some time will be spent in de ?n sea fishiiTg. The crew will keep in wireless touch with Auckland, and arrangements are being made for Station IYA to broadcast progress reports from the launch. The craft is one of the most modern and well-equipped pleasure launches in New Zealand waters, and will in future be used by her owner for cruising in the vicinity of Cook Strait and the Sounds. She is forty feet long, has a beam of ten feet, and is fitted with 75 horse-power engines.
