CLEARING SALE. Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., in. conjuction with the Wairarapa Farmers’ Co-op. Association Ltd., report on Air. W. C. Deller’s clearing sale as follows: The offering attracted an exceptionally large attendance of buyers from all parts of the district. The pedigree Milking Shorthorns sold much better than was anticipated. Best pedigree cows realised up to 20 gns., a good number of which wore pur-
chased by a Alanawatu buyer; pedigree bulls to 16 gns, grade cows to £8 5/, heifers to £6. Horses met with keen competition right through. Draughts 6 and 7 years £3O 10/ to £3B, aged £l7 10/, £lB 10/ to £27 10/; thoroughbred 2 year filly (by Greyspear), £3l; aged brood marc, £10; 7-year mare and foal, £l5 15/; 7-year hack gelding, £l6 10/; hack marc, £l6. Implements; Discs, £lB 10/; plough, £l3 10/; chain harrows, £l5 10/; Duncan drill, £36. A host of sundries and tool, etc., made top prices for clearing sale rates.
