THE ENGLISH TOUR. FOURTEEN PLAYERS ONLY. CHRISTCHURCH, March 1. , A meeting of tho Now Zealand Cricket Council to-day considered advice from F. T. Badcock of his inability to make the trip to England with the New Zealand team. It was decided to ask tho selectors to choose a player to fill the vacancy immediately and for this purpose the selectors will meet in Christchurch probably tomorrow. Acting on the advice of Hugh Trumble and Warwick Armstrong, it has been decided to adhere to the original arrangement to take fourteen men, the opinion of both visitors being that fourteen men would be sufficient.— (P.A.).
