New Zealand market slow; Australian and Danish quiet, Argentine steady. Official quotations are:—New Zealand: Finest salted, 164/ to 168/ per cwt. (l/5j to 1/6 per lb); unsalted, 178/ to 182/ per cwt (1/7 to 1/7J per lb). Other qualities, 160/ per cwt. (1/5 to 1/5| per lb). Australian: Salted, 160/ to 164/ per cwt. (1/5 to 1/54 per lb); unsalted, 166/ to 170/ (1/5| to 2/61 per lb). Other qualities, 146/ to 158/ (1/34 to 1/44 per lb). Argentine: Unsalted, 154/ to 158/ per cwt. (l/4i to 1/41 per lb); exceptional, 160/ per cwt (1/5 per lb). Other qualities, 148/ to 152/ (1/31 to 1/4J per lb). Danish: 190/ to 192/ per cwt (1/81 to 1/81 per lb). CHEBSE. Colonial market quiet. Official quotations are: English Finest Farmers’: 116/ to 120/ per cwt (1/01 to 1/1 per lb). Canadian.: Finest coloured and white, 96/ to 100/ per cwt. (101 d to lOfd per lb). Other qualities, 94/ to 95/ per cwt. (lOd per lb). New Zealand: Coloured and white, 91/ to 92/ per cwt. (9-ld to 9fd per lb). Other qualities, 89/ per cwt. (93d per lb). Australian: Coloured, 88/ to 90/ per cwt. (91d to 94d per lb). OTHER PRODUCE. Tallow: Not sufficient business being done to warrant holding auction this week. Small sales reported at last rates to 6d decline. Honey: Fair demand for packed lines. New Zealand, other descriptions slow. Quotations practically unchanged. Apples: Little better demand for American. Current prices for Newton Pippin, 14s to 15s per box, and Stayman’s 13s to 14s. Hemp: Manila market quiet and barely steady. “J” grade FebruaryApril shipments quoted sellers £43. Sisal market weakker and buyers very reserved. No. 1 Tanganyika, FebruaryApril shipments, quoted sellers £39 and No. 2 £3B. New Zealand market easy with sellers February-April shipments, highpoints, £35 10s.

Wool: Continued firmness of raw materials beginning to influence buyers of tops. Present quotations are: 64’s (merino), warp, 4s; average, 3s lid; 56’s (super half-bred), 2s 9Jd; 50’s (fine crossbred), 2s 24d; 40’s, prepared, K 7fd.
