CATHOLIC CARDINAL'S DICTUM.

LONDON, February 27. Cardinal Bourne in a Lenten pastoral, expresses an opinion that the failure of the well-intentioned English endeavour to re-unite the churches has emphasised the fact on which Catholics insisted—that unity is only obtainable by acceptance of a divinely constituted central authority.—(Sydney “Sun.”).
