MOTOR FATALITY.
CHILD KILLED IN CHRISTCHURCH CHRISTCHURCH, February 24. The death occurred in the Christchurch Hospital on Tuesday night of David Noel Nelson, ag°d eleven years, who was injured by being knocked , down by a motor car at the corner of i Selwyn Street and Lincoln Road at 7 . p.m. on Sunday. An inquest was opened before Mr. ’ Lawry, the Coroner. Evidence of iden- ; tification was given by the boy’s i father, Tom Nelson, of 504 Selwyn • Street, a labourer, who said that he had | last seen his son before the accident ; at about 6.45 p.m. He had suggested j a walk, and wont into the house to get ' his hat. When he came cut he found ! that the boy had been injured. He did not see thq accident happen. The inquest was adjourned to allow the police to make further investigations.—(P.A.)
