CROSS YARDS SALE. t Wright, Stephenson end Co.,' Ltd., ' report: —We held our annual sale at i the Cross Yards yesterday, when we offered a yarding of approximately 8000 sheep to a large and'representative at- • tendance. As usual with this fixture, the entry comprised several peas of outstanding breeding ewes, and then.! ; attractive lines were keenly : after and made good values. Only one ’ pen of ewes was passed in under the hamtfier, and this was eventually sold, all the others being sold by auction at advanced rates to late sales. The I wethers yarded also looked well and made good money, one pen only being passed in. Lambs were in great demand and considering the yarding comprised chiefly lambs of medium quality, ! the prices they made must be co-nsid- : ered highly satisfactory. -Right through , the sale was most successful, and we ! have to renert the following sales:—
